I had a time when my blog was offline for some 4 hours, according to the hosting company they had server upgrades.Basically nothing you can do at that point but just sit back and relax. After everything was back to normal I just made a post apologizing to everyone.I got a lot of email messages with people telling me not to sweat it and that it wasn't a big deal and that they are grateful for me informing them what that was all about.So I guess as long as you keep your visitors informed, whether during the down time or after it, you will be good.
