Nowadays, I am mostly a hobbyist web designer. But many of the bad practices that you mentioned within your article are golden rules that have been around for quite some time. A finely written article. I could not agree more on how important web content is. Readability for site visitors is highly important, too many people keyword stuff.

Really usefull article! I found some of theese tipical mistaces on my website, will try to fix them.
I also liked that sample text written for Google (in number 7), looks like a funny thing .
And about redundant CSS, I want to share my experience. I found out that often when you want the same page to look similar in different browsers (IE, Mozilla, Opera), it is necessary to set properties for both inner and outer tags.

Good tips, as far as spelling goes, Grey or Gray you can check wikipedia and it will tell you both ways are correct. With “A” in USA with “E” in England.
