Logos are easy… once you see the finished article.
Problem is, coming up with the idea in the first place.
That moment of inspiration, that spark of creativity, that idea that leads to the final masterpiece.
For most of us, we just have to be grateful for the brilliant ideas shown in posts like this one.
pamQ (13 comments)13 August 09
Thanks for the compilation. I’m always looking for logo design inspiration. I agree with Keith Davis, coming up with the idea is always the most difficult part. In my case, it usually happens midway into brainstorming. Sometimes that “eureka!” moment totally changes all the old plans and renders all preliminary sketches useless [but you don't mind, of course].

Awesome logos but some of them are following a trend (like web 2.0) which is current and might not sustain for a longer period. A logo must retain the same visual attention and message even when it is converted to pure black & white. I hope most of the designers agree here.

its awesome it gave me a spark to do some outofbox stuff cool
motionbuzz (1 comments)17 August 09
I really like Logotip and BarCode. Both are clever and look great in one color–very practical for printing. Half the battle with logo design is starting with a great name. For example, most designers rave about Apple and Target logos. But both are obvious pictographs resembling the company names. I still think it’s interesting how Target won Fortune Magazine’s logo showdown last year. Thanks for the great article!
kelake (3 comments)18 August 09
The ‘look’ logo made me look. Nice list.

Bjarni (2 comments)19 August 09
A good mix, I wonder if all these where actual real world logos or some just created for fun?
Webdesign Meppel (3 comments)19 August 09
I do think many of them we’re created just for fun. Sometimes you ask yourself; who would ever come up with such a company name…? Like killed, more, barcode, etc… Allthough I didn’t check it I think they might be made just for fun. Doesn’t make them worse
peter wildermuth (1 comments)19 August 09

Webdesign Meppel (3 comments)19 August 09

Good looking designs. However some of them, antiparticles and go bar precisely might not be a good version for print and small size for web use.

Create the next level with a memorable logo.
A logo crosses all culture and boundaries, communicate words, ideas and speak about what kind of company you are. Though a logo is
small but creates a huge impact on the image of your company. Some logos are so powerful that they become universally known as
symbols. Logo gives your firm an identity and helps customers recognize your particular product thereby reducing your selling
effort and costs. Take examples like McDonalds, IBM, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Nokia, Toyota, etc. A logo builds the firms image and
also helps to add prestige to the product or service which allows the firm to charge slightly higher price. In fact on paper almost
all of the firms are same so what makes them unique?
