I hope you enjoyed this post! Please take a few moment to share some of your favorite logos with us as well.

  1. Logos are easy… once you see the finished article.
Problem is, coming up with the idea in the first place.
That moment of inspiration, that spark of creativity, that idea that leads to the final masterpiece.
For most of us, we just have to be grateful for the brilliant ideas shown in posts like this one.

Thanks for the compilation. I’m always looking for logo design inspiration. I agree with Keith Davis, coming up with the idea is always the most difficult part. In my case, it usually happens midway into brainstorming. Sometimes that “eureka!” moment totally changes all the old plans and renders all preliminary sketches useless [but you don't mind, of course].

Awesome logos! Special love for the “Fold It” & “Core Cider” logos!

  4. Breanna (1 comments)13 August 09

Great list, some new ones I haven’t seen before! Thanks for compiling it.

  5. OK, I see what they did there. Very cool.

  6. Super design.
    Awesome logos!

  7. Excellent I love the MELT and page fold logos, really creative and well done.

  8. Lorel (2 comments)14 August 09

Always amazed creative abilities of people. Thank you for your selection)

  9. Awesome logos but some of them are following a trend (like web 2.0) which is current and might not sustain for a longer period. A logo must retain the same visual attention and message even when it is converted to pure black & white. I hope most of the designers agree here.

  10. really like these logo’s, most of them are really well thought through

  11. Just Creative Design very very good ( wolda )

Always the same logos was compiled. There are different logos, congratulations.

    • sogeking (20 comments)14 August 09

Thanks, i wanted the list to have varities of logo and not the same style

  12. Very impressive and a nice post since i’m going to need to come up with a logo soon.

  13. Hey I have an African website and I need a logo..Can you make a logo from 14Kmedia.CoM

  15. sogeking (20 comments)14 August 09

    Thank you all for commenting.

  16. Very very nice article.

  17. evasion (1 comments)16 August 09

  18. sertac (1 comments)16 August 09

    Very good indeed.

  19. Thanks for this post. It might sound crazy but I really like the coffee cup logo and the just creative design logo.

  20. I like the “Look” and “Loop” most. Simple and Nice

  21. sandeep (2 comments)17 August 09

its awesome it gave me a spark to do some outofbox stuff cool

  22. I really like Logotip and BarCode. Both are clever and look great in one color–very practical for printing. Half the battle with logo design is starting with a great name. For example, most designers rave about Apple and Target logos. But both are obvious pictographs resembling the company names. I still think it’s interesting how Target won Fortune Magazine’s logo showdown last year. Thanks for the great article!

  23. kelake (3 comments)18 August 09

The ‘look’ logo made me look. Nice list.

  24. raju (3 comments)18 August 09

    It’s Really Amazing Logo’s. Thanks…..

  25. Bjarni (2 comments)19 August 09

A good mix, I wonder if all these where actual real world logos or some just created for fun?

    • I do think many of them we’re created just for fun. Sometimes you ask yourself; who would ever come up with such a company name…? Like killed, more, barcode, etc… Allthough I didn’t check it I think they might be made just for fun. Doesn’t make them worse ;-)

  26. Nice, first list for a while that hasn’t had the Fedex

  27. Great list! Have seen many of them before!

I really like coffeecup and killed!

  28. Oh, I love that Disco one. After hanging out here at this site for a bit this evening, I realized I’m going to have to change my shop name from “Design” Shop to just “Decorating” Shop.

  29. Wow, these are some of the best logos I have seen and all in one place… The Cocoastuff and Lemon Stand designs rock.

  30. Nice collection of logos..

  31. peter (6 comments)24 August 09

  33. Whoa! Some awesome logos. I really like the idea behind fold it and coffee. Does anyone know which fonts getwired, zipliner and cocoastuff are using?

  34. The Internet is actually a never-ending source of such awesome inspirations. These logos are indeed beautiful. I’ll definitely try out some of them. My favorites are cocoastuff, Loop, and masQuest.

  35. Wow .. damn they are hella great! I like the Dead Mind and dark bird! =]

  36. dv (1 comments)29 August 09

great showcase. i especially like the kind that are clever, i.e., killed, look, question, etc.

  37. Very cool. these colours work very well.

  38. your collection of canvas is not only nice one but also very enthusiastic and credible. It’s a great work.

  39. Good looking designs. However some of them, antiparticles and go bar precisely might not be a good version for print and small size for web use.

  40. These are really well thought out logo designs. Most of them have a web 2.0 feel about them. Great work.

  41. son bellisimos y espectaculares tus logos

  42. Great selection! Many thanks for featuring get wired =]

  60. Great collection, well done.

  61. i like “core cider” logo.

  62. Create the next level with a memorable logo.

A logo crosses all culture and boundaries, communicate words, ideas and speak about what kind of company you are. Though a logo is

small but creates a huge impact on the image of your company. Some logos are so powerful that they become universally known as

symbols. Logo gives your firm an identity and helps customers recognize your particular product thereby reducing your selling

effort and costs. Take examples like McDonalds, IBM, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Nokia, Toyota, etc. A logo builds the firms image and

also helps to add prestige to the product or service which allows the firm to charge slightly higher price. In fact on paper almost

all of the firms are same so what makes them unique?

    Great post here!

  64. They simple yet memorable.
