Write For Us - Get Paid $50 per post!

If you would like to have a post published on Pro Blog Design, we'd be delighted! All authors will be given full credit for their work, including a link back to their site, and $50 per post.

Topics We'd Like To See

Anything that fits in the topic of design or blog modifications. Take a look at the sorts of posts published here, and you'll get a feel for the topic. Some examples would include:

  • WordPress tips and tricks.
  • Design theory and advice.
  • Resource posts, e.g. Tools to use, useful plugins etc.
  • Usability and accessibility guides.

How It Works

  • Authors are given credit for their work. At the end of each post is a large About the Author section. Here you can place a picture, a short blurb (Up to 140 characters), and a link back to your site.
  • Articles may be edited. Please don't be offended if we suggest changes, fix grammar, add links etc. However, no major changes will be made without your approval. It's still your post.
  • Articles must be unique. It cannot have been published elsewhere previously, and once the payment has been made, ownership of the article passes to Pro Blog Design. It cannot be re-published elsewhere.
  • Payments are made per post. We pay $50 per accepted post, and $80 if the post is a social media success. All payments are made by PayPal, so you'll need an account there.

Suggestions for Getting Published

  • The idea is everything - The topic of your post is the most crucial part. I'll pay for posts where a reader will learn something new, something that they really want to know. Or posts that will solve a problem users commonly run into. If there isn't a clear purpose to the post, or if its too basic, it's not likely to make it.
  • Must be related to design or coding - Ideally, your post should be design-related. Posts about working with WordPress are fine, but this isn't a blogging blog. I've had to draw the line here a few times, so if you're unsure if your idea is right for the blog, email me.
  • Talk to me about formatting - Posts here have a specific format. The opening image must be 560x145px, and I highly recommend the use of headings and lists. If you're making a list post, it may look best in a certain way. If you're unsure about anything, talk to me about it first before you spend the time on it all.
  • Make a post plan. It take's a lot of time to write a great post. Instead of going to all the effort and potentially not making it, you can draw up a quick plan of the post (title, subheadings and main points?) and send me that. If I like it, I'll let you know and you'll know it's worth working on!
  • If possible, I'd prefer to get the files in HTML format. It just makes it easier for me. If you aren't sure about how to do this though, don't worry! I'll still take Word documents or plain text, no problem.
