And it’s been great! It’s been crazy and I’ve been chasing things around everywhere and I meant to have this post published, well, 24 hours ago, but all of that aside, it’s been great.

Options pages are becoming a core part of WordPress themes, particularly in premium ones where the competitive edge it gives is an essential.

Back in June we looked over the state of theme options pages at the time and found a lot of good things were happening. They make working with themes much easier by removing the need to delve into any theme files or code.

A “Theme Options” page is designed to give control over how a theme looks and functions, solely by setting options in the WordPress dashboard. The user then has no need to edit the core theme files.

Theme Options have become a standard feature in premium WordPress themes (And some free ones too!), and aren’t that complicated to set up.
